Were you a FORENZA Girl, or an OUTBACK RED Girl?

Many of you know I used to work at The Limited during its heyday in the 1980s.

I have been thinking lately (because I spend inordinate amounts of time thinking of 'important' issues such as this) that Gen X women can probably be divided down the middle into two camps: the gals who went to the FORENZA side of the store when they shopped at The Limited, and the gals who went to the OUTBACK RED side.

This notion reminds me of that saying I have always heard that people can be divided into two camps on any of these issues: ELVIS or THE BEATLES; CHOCOLATE or VANILLA; DOGS or CATS. Supposedly, which side you come down on on any of these topics says something significant about you. Does it?

Here is where I fall:
ELVIS
VANILLA
DOGS
FORENZA

Which side of the store attracted you first? Don't say you didn't shop there. I know that you did.

Unfortunatley, in the 80's I mostly got clothes that were not that cool from Bradlees where my mom worked and some hand-me-downs. I did get some stuff from The Limited in the late 90's and early 2000s but once again this isn't in the budget.

Definitely Forenza! I think my parachute pants were that brand.

Beatles
Vanilla
Cats
FORENZA forever. I still have a lilac opera length strand of glass pearls that I bought at the Limited in high school. Ah, I love them!

LaraAnn, I was only able to shop there because I worked there and got the employee discount. If it were not for that, my parents probably would have had me wearing nothing but clothes from Sears, LOL!!! I think most all of what I earned went back into the store. No doubt that was what they hoped would happen!

Yay Pam@GoRetro! You are probably thinking of the Forenza Palazzo pants. They were very big there in the 80s and came back in different incarnations for the entire time I worked there. Search this blog for the word forenza (use the little search field at the top) and you can see somewhere awhile ago where I posted a photo of mine!

Okay, MAB. I will give you cats - but The Beatles? Not my cuppa. I know I am rare in that, however :-)
