I mean, really! You were into THIS? These little dudes with terrible hair looking like little puppy dogs and singing like baby kitty cats?
I can remember being so angry when I got Teen Beat or Tiger Beat or my favorite, Bop, and found the pages filled with all kinds of Menudo articles. The line up you see in this video, with the eensy weensy Ricky Martin, is the one I remember best.
Supposedly they were these huge international sensations, but I swear I have never met a Menudo fan in my entire life.
So, did you buy this record? You may think this is way back in your past and that we should let sleeping dogs lie. BUT NO!
You Menudo fans owe us an explanation. WTH???

The only time Menudo ever entered my world was in the tshirt ads in my Archie comics. Had no idea who they were and thought it must've been an 'American Thing'. So, I concur, I've also never met a Menudo.
*I've also never met a Menudo FAN. Or a Menudo for that matter ;)
Consider yourselves having met a Menudo fan. Yes, the group is an International success with albums released in 5 languages (Spanish, English, Italian, Portugese, and Tagalog), they are the only recording artists to do so to this day.
The video for "Hold Me" was directed by Kenny Ortega, the same guy who just saw directing Michael Jackson's This is It.
Thanks for thinking of the group. Although you might not be fans, seeing them in Bop, 16, and so forth made us very happy.
Does their name mean noodle? I was never sure.
Yeah, MAB, I always wondered if their name had something to do with soup, LOL!
I wish you had said where you are from, anonymous! I have always wondered why medundo were in those mags when they really and truly didn't seem to be a U.S. phenomenon. I didn't know they had albums in five languages - that is pretty impressive.
I can honestly say that no one I knew was a Menudo fan! Everyone I knew made fun of them, though, when they clogged up the pages of our Teen Beat and Bop mags!
