Today my son, also known as 80sKid, will review for you one of the great family films of the 1980's, 'Pee Wee's Big Adventure' from 1984. He is actually a pretty fine writer for a kid entering third grade!
From 80sKid:
"Hey moms of the 80's, have you seen the movie 'PEE WEE'S BIG ADVENTURE'? Well, if you have, let your kids see it! Trust me, they will love it just like you did! But be aware of the one scene where Pee Wee gets on a semi truck with a lady and her face bursts out with giant bulging eyes and a gross tongue sticks out of her mouth. this scene, however, is supposed to make adults laugh, and it does. But the first time I saw it, I freaked out and started crying. So I'm suggesting that you make your children close their eyes on that part. But the PG rating is right. So if you have not seen it, you've got to see it! It's grrrreat!!!"
Thanks 80sKid for that review!
Regardless of the later notoriety of the film's star Paul Reubens, this movie is just as innocent and as funny as a film can be. It would be great if Hollywood made family movies like this now! Do rent this very 80s flick with your kids, you will not regret it!

great, angie! Thanks for finding it!
Tell 'em Large Marge sent ya!
LOL Karen!
Bless his heart. Large Marge would scare me too if I was in that big old truck with her. My son cut his teeth on Pee Wee Herman. Here's a little tidbit for you....Todd Rundgren did the Pee Wee Herman theme song for the Saturday morning cartoon!
